Developer Notes
This week, an additional balance patch will be carried out regarding effects from character skills that scale off Combat Power.
As updates continue, the player's Combat Power increases, but those buffs don't output intended results.
We have decided that this is causing excessive fatigue to newbies.
Improvements have been made accordingly, so that effects scaling off Combat Power can be received at the maximum value even at 0 CP.
We have also fixed an issue where skills that don't have a casting motion (e.g. Elsword's Iron Body, Aisha's Body skills, Dominator and Prime Operator install type skills) could be canceled when getting hit and consume mana / activate cooldown.
From now on, no mana gets consumed and no cooldown gets activated until the effect of the skill without a casting motion is applied.
We're also reflecting some opinions regarding the new buff UI window update.
Improvements have been made so that the icons can be resized.
The clarity of the blinking effect when a buff / debuff is about to run out has also been improved.
As previously announced, we are releasing the Pet Extraction item.
Thanks to this item, one can turn a pet bound to a character back to a tradeable item.
The pet's Growth Points and Fetch Aura skill are kept intact when this is done.
Accordingly, all existing pets will display information about the Growth Point amount currently held.
However, the Fetch Aura skill will be deleted if it's temporary when the pet is extracted.
Since a new armor and new dungeons are coming, we are releasing a [Hyper Punch Master] event.
You can obtain a full set of +10 R15 Tenebrous from the event.
In addition, Sacred Knights full Ice Burner set (60 days) is available, as well as temporary titles (60 days): Night Parade of the White-Ghost, Black & White, Sealer of Plegas and Freed Shadow. You can also obtain unique common force skills.
With the help of yet another event, a +11 Vestige of Soul - Weapon of Requiem can be obtained.
To assist you with the completion of its growth stages, a medal that multiplies the counts will be provided.
We have prepared many things so that new and returning adventurers could experience the fun of Elsword more quickly.
We hope that this is going to be helpful also to existing adventurers who are struggling with growth.
Additionally, another event [Senior, Please Clear the Raid!] will be activated.
Every week, players with Combat Power of 9 million or more will be awarded with consumables required for clearing the raid by clearing Pruinaum/Abyss raids when partying with the [Hyper Punch Master] event participating characters.
We hope that you'll be kind to new players and enjoy the game together.

The End of Combat Power Scaling
An additional balance patch will be applied to characters that provide buffs of values proportional to Combat Power.
All such effects have been improved to always apply the maximum value regardless of your current CP.

Buff UI Further Improvements
Added buff icon size settings. You can pick one of four size variants. (The buff UI width is reset when changing this.)
The number of times a buff icon blinks before wearing off will be reduced, and the blinking speed will be slower.

Hyper Punch Master

Event Target: Characters Lv. 99 or higher with less than 9M CP (per account)
Event Details: Participation possible through the event UI. Various rewards can be redeemed after reaching Combat Power milestones.
Senior, Please Clear the Raid!
Event Period: July 18 ~ September 12
Event Target: Characters Lv. 99 or higher with at least 9M CP (per account)
Event Details: Help newbies (who partake in the Hyper Punch Master event) clear Pruinaum/Abyss raids to receive Senior Points. A leaderboard displaying players with the most Senior Points gathered will be available. Clear weekly quests to obtain 15x Fighter Potion, 30x Giant Stone Apple, etc.
Obtain +11 Vestige of Soul
Event Period: July 18 ~ September 12
Event Target: Characters Lv. 99 or higher (per account)
Event Details: Stay online for at least 60 collective minutes to obtain a +11 Vestige of Soul - Weapon of Requiem. Once received, a Weapon Growth Stage 3x Count Medal (1 Day) can be additionally obtained.

Pet Extraction
A summoned pet can be extracted back into a tradeable item. Growth Point and Fetch Aura information will be kept.
(However, limited duration pets, non-adult pets, pets deployed in El House / El Expedition, VIP pets and pets with items in their inventory cannot be extracted.)
The following attributes are reset: name, satiety, intimacy, accessory (gem), digestion time.
Costume Suit - Pure White Attitude
Contains the costume suit, hair, a feather decoration and a standby motion.

Fixes / Improvements
Character
An issue where special resources were consumed without the skill being used when hit simultaneously while using a skill that consumes special resources in specific situations will be fixed.
When being hit and casting a skill without a casting motion, mana will not be consumed and cooldown will not be applied unless the skill's effect was applied.
Rena - fixed Nature's Force buff icon being displayed in town after exiting a dungeon.
Apsara - fixed not recovering Spirit Energy properly when killing monsters in Eun Mode.
Add - fixed DP being consumed when pressing the awakening key when awakening fails to activate.
Mad Paradox - fixed [Mod] Moonlight Breaker DMP effect not applying when there was not enough DMP after casting the skill.
Overmind:
Fixed Genetic Modification not applying for skills in the B slot.
Fixed abnormal DMP enhancement on the following skills: Cure, PCA, False Diagnosis, Anesthesia, [Mod] Anesthesia.
Tempest Burster - fixed the problem of [Mod] X-1 Extruder being translucent.
Prime Operator - made the explosion impact point of Satellite Drop less awkward.
Morpheus - fixed awakening into New Moon when using forced awakening at the start of the dungeon even if during another moon phase.
Avarice - the Golden Vow will no longer disappear after resurrection effects.
Mischief - fixed 5 Gemstones displaying in the Spectator Mode even after activating Fascinating Development.
Dungeon
An issue in the Tricky House boss stage where Mr. Hat's frame magic pattern was dealing damage to party members in the same space will be fixed.
An issue where the buff icon disappeared when the Aquatic Adaptation buff's duration ended, reducing the buff stack, in the Blooming Mineral Field will be fixed.
An issue where it was not possible to dismount/operate after mounting the turret in certain situations in phase 2 of the Giant Steel Wall will be fixed.
An issue where the boss in Challenge Mode - Annihilator dungeon could not be hit in certain situations will be fixed.
Item
Velder Academy Knights Hat/Hair, Velder Academy Noble Knights Hat/Hair, Aurora Mustika Hair improved to be dyeable.
Other
An issue where items that cannot be dyed were not marked with an "X" when opening the hair shop while the Ice Burner inventory was open has been fixed.
An issue where frame rates dropped in certain situations when repeatedly attempting Mystic Enchant has been fixed.
An issue where the buff group indicator blinked together when a buff in the first row of the buff UI had 5 seconds or less remaining has been fixed.
For smoother gameplay, certain skills that do not change the character's status, such as throwing items, have been improved so they do not interfere with character skills.
An issue where the client version UI could not be checked in certain situations when using A-type windowed mode has been fixed.
Tooltips for all pet items now additionally display whether the item includes the Fetch Aura, pet Growth Points based on category, and current Growth Point values.
Growth Point categories have been added to the Board search feature.
Fixed the colorblind mode applying even when it was off.
Improved Season Pass El Resonance Potion tooltips to specify the max level they can be used at.

Despite not playing anymore, I do like the story, hoping they somehow tackle the henir stuff in the demon realm in the new dungeon, they never explained why there's open rifts there and why Henir order is involved in any of this, I like to see more.
Also need to tell me why the hell Owen looks like he could be related to Add, is he a descendant of his? They properly tied Aisha's, Chung's and Rena's backstory in the canon story I would like to see them tie Raven's, because we now know through Lithia's story, the Aristocrats are working with the Henir Order.

now since they're tweaking those resource consuming skills getting screwed because of peak timing, how about those delays when using pots, especially for hp recovery.
The delays are caused by your network, it's nothing they can fix.
oh i'm not talking about the "press button, wait a sec, then the potion is consumed then its effects apply" delay. i know that's on my end.
i'm talking about the "press button, the potion is consumed, and then the effects of the potion only come in like half a second after the potion is already consumed and i might already be done for so the effects of the potion don't apply even though it counts as being consumed" delay.
I think that's still lag. While the healing doesn't happen at the exact same time that the potion is consumed, it's still nearly instant for me as long as I'm not noticing any lag.

Took them like almost 3 years to realize that the combat power scaling for buffs is effing useless at some point for newbies. Makes me wonder who even the hell suggested that update is a good idea -.-
CP escaling was implemented to avoid gate keeping and leeching. Many players abused raid leech using supporting characters that barely meet the cp reqs for farming raids, they would never do important damage only secure their place by healing or giving some beneficial effect. I know, its unfair. (Of course we are talking about players with +300 ERP and a bankshared elrianode/rigomor/tirnog gear
You're joking right? The game makes DPS struggle, DPS can't do proper damage without farming raid and get the weapon they need and progress. People don't accepts struggling DPS, but gladly accepts supports, so either DPS players ditch the game or turn to supports. Now you blame on these players for "leeching" with supports ,which is harder to do, because they want to upgrade their DPS classes so they can do damage? Are you even playing the game, or you just throw money to somebody else do all the progress for you, so you can enjoy the game with your godly character and talk shit on "leechers"?
1: I'm not a dickhead to put money into the game and even more so to pay another player to help you. I still play but I don't have the need to play a game all day. Thanks for your curiosity.
2: The only players I blame are those who keep a spot without any effort. What's the point of having a variety of characters with buffs and healing if they only give preference to a RAS/BL/NYX (sage armor +7-8) who doesn't even try to play.
3: Don't be a jerk, raids like Rosso/ Berthe with a DPS of 5M-12M as a host accept anyone, but if the party belongs to a support who barely knows the cp requirements then he starts doing gatekeeping so hard as if it were mandatory to do the raid in 1 minute or less.
FINALLY, OH MY GOD, FINALLY A GOOD CHANGE ON THIS GAME
Finally that trash of CP scaling has ended, one of the worst things KOG ever did. Honestly who decided to make it happen should be fired for making the life of us low CP players a hell if we decided to play a support class

i wonder why they would advertise the +10 VoS ticket in the growth season pass if they're giving out a +11 VoS...
Because both are for one character each? Get the +11 VoS on one char and the +10 ticket on another.

I'm actually really glad that they're removing effect scaling based on combat power. While it was a neat idea, I feel it wasn't handled well. The skills in question were just barely helpful at low CP, especially with how weak the effects were without any CP, and the thresholds felt too far apart.
I feel the last characters they made handled it better, with them having a good base effect, and then the scaling being more like an extra. They could have done that for old characters if they wanted to keep it , but this is fine too... i only hope they dont over do with the incoming nerfs that will happen
True. I feel that that would have been a better solution than removing the scaling altogether, but I'm just glad they made the skills that didn't have that actually usable in the early game.
