Developer Notes

In this update, the scheduled summer revamp is being released.
We hope that these changes help adventurers build their characters and play more comfortably.

Additionally, regarding the Elrios Pass and Powerful Punch Master, we received feedback from adventurers, and we'd like to address this.
The season 8 of Elrios Pass will be held earlier than usual, as well as the renewed Powerful Punch Master event.
They are scheduled for release on July 18th after maintenance, so stay tuned, as we also prepared other events.

Shared Giant Boss and Raid Titles

As previously announced, Giant Boss and Raid titles will be shared across the account.
Those titles will be moved from the [Character] to the [Account] tab.

If no characters own an affected title, the counts will be added up together.
If you already own an affected title, all other characters on the account will be able to use it.

In the case of "Attack of Steel Machines" title, a special item in the quantity of [amount of characters owning the title - 1] will be provided as compensation. This item can be traded with other players once. To use this item, one must first unlock the region it comes from.

Shared titles can only be equipped when their region is unlocked, or in the case of Drabaki titles, after reaching lv. 99.

Mid Game Dungeon Adjustments

Dark Elves' Outpost

- Sentinel Guardians and Sentinel Commander attack and defense decreased. - Sentinel Chaser, Sentinel Rider and Fae Panther HP decreased. - Changed so that you will no longer be immobilized when stepping on a trap.

Forsaken Spirit Asylum

- Nephilim Lord attack, HP and defense decreased. - Ino Nephilim, Mople and Njord attack decreased. - After destroying Nephilim Lord seal, its core will be invincible.

Shadow Vein

- Dark Agate attack decreased. - Nero attack and HP decreased.

Sea of Ruin

- Leviathan attack decreased. - Chaos Leviathan attack and HP decreased.

Abandoned Deep-Sea Tunnel

- A.M.P.S Type - Gerstalker attack decreased. - A.M.P.S Type – Kaempferi will be immediately summoned.

Trosh's Nest

- Homon, Seren and Armadulla will be immediately summoned.

Abandoned Icerite Plant

- Clockwork Frost Hermit attack decreased.

Glacial Land

- Boss Asella attack and defense decreased. - Small Garen, Large Garen and mid-boss Asella HP decreased. - Glacier platforms will no longer get destroyed. - You will now respawn on the other side after falling into a pitfall even if the section is not cleared.

Old Village Site

- Antiquark, Quark and Meson attack, HP and defense decreased. - Antiquark attacks will no longer inflict Extreme Coldness. - Stage 3 (the summoning stage) is removed.

Sanctuary of the Soul

- Baryon and certain Elite Guard attack and HP decreased. - Guard Captain HP decreased. - Increased the amount of time a Guard Captain takes to teleport. - Guard Captain kick attack changed to only push back if you are hit. - Guard Captain whirlwind attack changed to only pull in if you are hit.

Capital-Bound Train

- T.P.S.S Core attack and HP decreased. - HP of all mobs decreased.

PvP Rework

  1. All PvP rankings will be reset after this update.

  2. The 3v3 mode is removed due to low play rate. All information regarding 3v3 is removed.

  3. HP compensations adjusted to be uniform and independent of rank in all modes.

  4. Changed to gain less rank when winning and lose more when losing in party play.

  5. PvP matching system conditions are improved to shorten the wait time.

New PvP Weapon

  1. Can be obtained from a quest at NPC Camilla.

    • Weapons provided are +9 and bound to your character.

    • Can only be equipped in PvP and Ereda.

  2. The Duelist Sparring Weapons can utilize attributes, enhancement and specialization systems. They cannot be given Mystic Stones or Imprints.

  3. When worn in a 5-set with the Duelist Sparring Armor, an additional effect is applied.

    • All Elemental Resistance +100, All Element Activation Chance +3% (when Element already in use)

Character Growth Revamp

  1. 3rd and 4th lessons of 4th Phoru Guide added to help adventurers enter the Pruinaum Raid. Rewards include Artifact Ring, Armor, Necklace, etc.

  2. Vestige of Soul - Weapon of Requiem stage completion conditions have been relaxed.

Elrianode Equipment Improvements

  1. After the update, the existing reward from the Prof. Pho Growth Guide will be replaced with [Ariel] +9 Restored Elrianode Equipment Cube.

    • The condition to clear this quest will be 3 times Elrianode dungeon clear.

    • The existing Elrianode Equipment will not be affected.

    • The quest will not be considered cleared even for those who already cleared it before so that they could obtain the new version.

    • Restored Elrianode cannot be dismantled or moved through the Shared Bank, and can only be deleted by discarding it.

  2. El Tear Fragments will no longer drop from Elrianode dungeons and Drabaki.

    • Quest rewards including El Tear Fragments will be removed.

  3. Restored Elrianode Armor cannot be infused with El Tears, but it has fixed effects and a set effect.

  4. The sales for Elrianode Armor Color Change Ticket will end. NPC Denif El Tear Assembly function will be removed on July 31, 2025.

Added color blind mode

  1. Accessibility tab is added to settings (O hotkey).

  2. Red / green / blue modes can be set.

  3. Each area can be individually changed: character, background, effects, UI filter and their sensitivity.

    • UI filter was excluded from the update due to unintended behavior during QA.

Inventory Improvements

  1. Avatar page amount expanded from 14 to 15.

  2. Ice Burner category added. Also added to categories at the Board.

Buff UI revamp

The buff UI is improved to match the current UI design, and buffs can be toggled depending on their type (ex. where they come from).
You can modify the display for you and your party members.


The categories include:

  • Self buffs coming from character systems, skills, etc.

  • Buffs given by party members

  • Dungeon and Consumable effects (ex. Fighter Potion, Heroes Assemble queue buff, Random Mission buff)

  • Special buffs that last longer than 30 minutes (ex. Equipment, Ice Burner Seasonal buff)

  • Special buffs that last 30 minutes or less (Hot Springs, elixirs, titles, etc.)

  • Debuffs

Each category is displayed in its own row, but it can be freely adjusted where it should be displayed for you and your party members separately. (The debuff category will always be displayed at the bottom, and it cannot be changed.)

Other UI improvements

  1. A message is displayed when joining or leaving parties, raid parties, and striker parties through party chat.

  2. When the party leader is changed via raid editing, a party leader popup will be displayed to the character appointed as the new leader.

  3. A batch appraisal function will be added for the pet gems.

    • When you check the batch appraisal button and confirm, all gems in your inventory will be appraised at once.

    • When you check the batch appraisal button, the total ED required for appraising all appraisable gems in your inventory will be displayed.

    • If you lack sufficient ED, batch appraisal will not be possible.

  4. In game settings, the name of the option to remove exclusive appearance for Awakening will be changed to disable appearance change.

    • You can turn the appearance change on or off when the character's appearance is forcibly changed due to Awakening or skill usage. (Excludes appearance changes from Altar of Evil and Transcendence skill usage)

PvP Balance Patch

The previously announced PvP balance patch will be released. [LINK]

Events

  • Hedgehog Draw Attendance Event (July 4 ~ July 18), rewards include pet gems and Spectral Amethyst/Tenebrous Aura Selection Cube & others.

  • Opportunity for job change (July 4 ~ July 18) from a cumulated access timer (30/60 minutes for a job change ticket/weapon attack swap ticket). The timer resets on July 11, so you can redeem them a total of 2 times.

  1. El Resonance Potion exchangeable at NPC Helen is improved to be stackable. (Please note that existing items will remain the same.)

  2. Fixed an issue where the character's position would change when using certain custom motions in town.

Other

  1. When extracting a force skill, the number of remaining seals will be displayed in a pop-up window to allow checking whether sealing is possible.

  2. The issue where some dungeons could be started without meeting the entry conditions in certain situations will be fixed.

  3. The issue where buff icons already applied to new party members were not visible to other party members when inviting them to a party will be fixed.

I don't know why they're messing with Elrianode Armor, or at least getting rid of the part that actually made it interesting - the ability to customize it. Admittedly RNG on the Destruction fragments can be a headache, but just about everything else is pretty simple (especially using the Ancient Elrianode set as a base - although I trade in Polarize for Crit).

Can they at least do something about some of the insane ED costs for Reforging, Enchanting, Imprinting, the stupid Advanced Adventurer Cube, and such? Some of us want nice things, and having to spec a new armor or weapon just drains funds like crazy. Wouldn't hurt if they cranked the drop rate on El Shards up a bit either.

Also are they ever going to "fix" the Void Weapon achievements? I think the drop rate on that is too high to ever be able to do 777 or 1000 consecutive runs without getting it now, even across a full account of characters (which I don't have).

tear ing elrianode armor is a pointless thing now despite the shred shoes. it just causes so much confusion for new players. a single unified set that cant be messed up regarding tears is a relief. also the annoying quest rewards just because you did an event daily in el tower.

Void achievement is a hit or miss. you can still get the achievement by unsummoning your pet and not picking up the weapon.

You are technically right about the tears, but that doesn't change the fact that the ability to customize them was still nice for quite a few people. Plus the sets from layer regions also have their own levels of customization, so it doesn't hurt to try to ease players into the customization process, since new players might need to run Elrianode dungeons for a while before they can tackle Varnymir dungeons. Besides, some players (like myself) might not like some of the default effects of the Elri armor.

"you can still get the achievement by unsummoning your pet and not picking up the weapon" Problem is that, even if they're low in number, there are players who hate wasting drops, which I am one such player. I understand that the amount of ED you can get from that dungeon isn't much, but if I'm gonna run any dungeon for any reason, I'm gonna get as much from it as I can.

no change is literally nothing or absolutely nothing. but a lot of the changes seem pretty insufficient or sufficient in bad ways for what's currently going on.

except for VoS staging. that matter a lot in a good way.

i don't pvp, so i can't really say how effective these changes are. but i think removing a whole mode is iffy, even if it gets very little traffic. and the party win/loss rank effect is.... plainly bad.

also literally gutting an entire system that dominated the game for a significant amount of time because they: -didn't add relevant stat modifications available through el tears that would be great even at later parts of the game -didn't come up with a way to make the effects transferrable with no degradation into later armors -didn't do both in a way that's available to all players without cash and also by means that promote reasonable and not absurd amounts of gameplay is a stinker of a move. like say, open sewage lines flooding the roads stinker.

the game's progression and modification is such a fractured, scattered, and often times redundant mess that it's literally too convoluted for most new players coming in, and it's to the point that they're literally being torn out in graceless and thoughtless ways. it's like ripping entire vertebrae out of any (remaining) long time players who have been ground down by the slog and using the amputated spine chinks not to even help new players, but to tell them that whatever they do in the game will one day result in their spines being clipped as well.

just like what happened to the AtV wep pretty much, though at least that one was a base for the current system, even if it meant making it's properties easily overridden..

it isn't so much insulting as it is flaying and then flogging us with our shriveled and shredded flayed skins.

i appreciated even BethTera for at least finding something to do with the decommissioned areas, even if it was only for a while. you know why? because from what i've heard about how programming and game development work, game code bloats by necessity unless very carefully pruned, and all that gutted stuff is likely still there, taking up space without being used right or at all. just like the older (and i still say more impressive) versions of a lot of skills.

and i don't think Nexon will let the programmers do that careful cleanup.

but i'll admit i don't actually know if these things are or aren't still in the code, so i'll admit to being wrong about this if i am.

but aside from all that, the enemy attack nerfs are welcome, because if they're not going to undo the asinine mess that is polarize (for which many will make excuses for because sunk cost fallacy regardless of actual benefit to gameplay experience), then at least for now it will be something.

bummed that they aren't separating skill appearance change and awakening change since they were able to isolate awakening change in the first place, but i'll admit that i'd use both anyways.

but along with VoS staging ease-ups, the resonance pot stacking and mass pet gem IDing are very welcome.

Honestly is a small change and almost doesnt change anything for the big deal they were trying to show us. There is no point of adding a "sparring weapon" if many will keep using their VOS/SOA +11-+12 and oneshot everyone . I only feel useful the part of title and vos reqs nerf, I dont want to stay the whole fricken day farming stages and immediately try to focus in SOA. The buffs/debuffs looks fancy but it might help to not have a whole screen full of buff information. Also we return to the lame attendance events XD

Yeah, I think I'm gonna keep using my Ancient Elrianode set. I know it's technically weaker, but it works for the content I'm using it for and can be Bank Shared. Plus I personally prefer Ignore Defense and MP Cost Reduction over Polarize and Party Maximize.
