04/24 Patch Notes - Dungeon, Raid & Title Improvements

Developer Notes
After the update on 4/24 (Thu), due to changes in Reforge effects, overall Combat Power will increase when equipping affected armor compared to before. As a result, dungeon entry CP requirements, which were based on the previous CP standards, may no longer be appropriate.
We do not plan to adjust dungeon entry CP separately at this time.
We will monitor the situation after the update, considering that the gameplay flow during the growth process may change due to the rework.
We plan to consider adjustments to dungeon entry CP or improvements to the CP calculation method.
If there are any changes regarding this matter, we will provide a separate notice.
Raid Solo Mode
Added Raid Solo Mode to Rosso, Berthe and Abyss raids.
Normal and Solo modes share the reward pool. Story is still separate.
Rosso, Berthe and Abyss [Receive Reward] button is removed.
Weapon Drop Rate Gauge will be increased when completing the weekly clear.
Other rewards (Mystic Stone Cubes, Imprint Stone Cubes, Abyssal Aura Purifiers and Abyss Mystic Stones) will be obtained immediately upon clearing each phase.
When in Solo Mode, [Queue Dungeon] (F8) will be changed to [Enter Dungeon] (F8).
Solo Mode shares progress with Normal Mode. For example, you can clear the first dungeon solo, then the second one in a party, and the last one solo again. Story Mode unchanged.
In Solo Mode, you can be resurrected after a certain amount of time passes, up to 3 times.
When entering Solo Mode, a special solo buff is granted depending on character class.

Varnimyr & Pruinaum Raid Improvements
Never-Ending Darkness (Phase 1): changed so that you can proceed immediately without having to deal with the thorns.
Savage White-Ghost's Castle (Phase 3): you will face Haivan immediately upon entering the stage.
Changes to Varnimyr, Pruinaum and Abyss Raid System
Weekly rewards will be issued immediately upon clearing the necessary stage.
Abyss Raid can now be entered with a party of 4 (the same as Story Mode.)
Abyss Raid gameplay clear progression pattern will be changed as follows: Sunken Holy Ground 1x, Blooming Mineral Zone OR Nightmare's Nest 1x, Birth of Origin 1x.
Party information UI will update depending on the Abyss Raid progression type of choice.
Prof. Pho's Growth Guide Rework
Note: All players can clear all quests with changed rewards again, even if they have completed them before.
When you reach Lv. 10 and 99, an additional notification will appear near the Prof. Pho's Growth Guide event icon.

Fifth Growth Guide
Another segment of Prof. Pho's Growth Guide is added for adventurers past Pruinaum Outskirts, focused on Tirnog.
Can be entered by completing the 'Entering Tirnog' quest.
Various rewards can be obtained, including but not limited to:

Amplifier Circuit Dismantle QoL
A dedicated Amplification Circuit filter function will be added to the item dismantling feature.
Dismantle Circuits Based on Effect Value (below a specified threshold)
You can set a effect value, and circuits with effect values below the set threshold will be filtered.
Party buff effects and all elemental resistance effects will have their values listed separately.
Detailed Settings for Circuit Dismantling Options (effect types)
You can view all effect types that appear in Amplification Circuits.
Checked effects will be included in the filter, and you can select all effect types at once using the [Batch Select] button.
Auto-Dismantle Circuits Upon Appraisal
If ‘Auto-Dismantle Circuits Upon Appraisal’ is checked in the item dismantling UI, any circuits matching the conditions will be automatically dismantled after completing the appraisal.
Amplification Circuit filter settings will be saved per account.
The maximum number of items that can be dismantled at once will be increased from 30 to 100.

'Start with current members' Buff
When entering dungeons before Tirnog with current members, a buff similar to the Queue Buff (Heroes' Assemble) will be applied.

Giant Boss, Raid and solo dungeons are excluded.
This buff does not get removed when retrying.
When matchmaking, the old buff will be applied the same way as before.
Other Dungeon Adjustments
In the Rigomor region, the Abandoned Icerite Plant dungeon will be improved to allow 1–4 players to enter, whether with the current members or through matchmaking.
When entering with 2 players, bottom-area monsters will not spawn, and the gauge will reach 100%.
When entering solo, both top- and bottom-area monsters will not spawn, and the gauge will reach 100%.
In the Pruinaum region, the Capital-Bound Train dungeon will be improved to allow 1–4 players to enter, whether with the current members or through matchmaking.
The Lever usage pattern will now only appear when entering with 3 or more players.
Improvements will be made to Solace's Fortress in the Elysion region.
Monster HP will be adjusted.
If the boss is defeated before entering Phase 2, players will now be able to obtain the true ending rewards.

Worry-free Collection
Resonance Moonfish Fishing Event - catch a special fish to obtain Resonance EXP.
1-Day +11 tickets daily for a month (Dungeon only).
Free +10 Submergence of Abyss - Phantom Weapon. Has sockets and Mystic Stones. This event also provides 1-Day Abyss weapon 2x Growth Quest medals, 60-Day Avatar and Imprint ED Exemption Tickets.

Hmm, so basically shining mystic stone farming are dead for good? (Only for exp gears) welp its not that bad atleast.
But yeah i never expected that they'll remove the first phase of Neverending darkness, its been annoying eversince.
(Still wishing for the AP amulets to be used on crafted ones tho.)
Maybe for most people, but some may not like the default Mystic effects. Like how I didn't like the Polarize El Tear effect on Elri Armor.
Finally after only decades they made the game playable. They almost had it all, it was only missing the +10 VoS amulet (because +9 VoS isn't outright better than +10 Rosso so you're kinda stuck in this weird choice) in one of the later Pho rewards. Still, better than i would have ever expected from trash-Kog.
The game's been playable, it's just that reaching endgame is a pain in the ass. And it might still be, not sure about that yet.
It is still a pain in the ass to reach endgame. You need at least minimum +11 to be taken into raid starting from Steel Wall (hence why they gave it as +10 so you either wait or spend money for +11) They did the bare minimum to get people caught up in Abyss and started giving back solo gameplay because of the gatekeepers in end-game (even in Abyss after years + nerfs). At least they make sure you can do solo mode at free +9~10 VoS thanks to the buffs you get.
Somehow that doesn't surprise me.
Is that free +10 abyss weapon I see from the event? Sweet. I just hope it doesn't decrease my CP too much by switching from +11 VoS. Just in time for the free IB set on GL too. Might be a good time to rise my other character.

I cannot believe I only just realized this, but the April Fools' Maid/Butler sets are literally just the Charming Maid/Servant sets for the opposite gender.

not exactly just a gender-unbent version; the differences lie in weapon style, the "feminine" hairstyles, and accessories: the part-time set (april fools) has weapons styled after cleaning and service implements, the "girls'" hair is twintails, and there are 3 accessories. in 2 styles; the charming set has the weapons looking more like weapons, the girl's hair is worn loose, and there's only once accessory in 2 styles and is gender differentiated. the maid's headdress in classic is a whole different model from what the part-time version has.
but they are the same body armor pieces. (i.e. the parts that take up most of the look definitely are the same in both), so it's entirely possible to have the whole party in either a tuxedo or a frilly dress all in the same matching style.
Fair, I didn't notice that. Though checking again now, it seems like the weapons from the Charming Maid/Servant already worked well with the April Fool's Butler/Maid outfits respectively, so they probably decided to overhaul the weapons since the Charming weapons already fit them pretty well.
It's a pretty impressive list of changes. I hope it all manages to work out in the end.
Now can they maybe finally do something about the Void Weapon achievements so they don't reset to 0 when you get the drop (especially since they're practically being given away at the current drop rate)?
Not sure how I feel about the thorns section of Never-Ending Darkness basically being skipped over now, though. It's not like they were actually a threat, just maybe a bit tedious to deal with.
And I hope they fixed all those +10 Amethystine Prophecy amulets. Currently they screw over anyone who's actually using hand-crafted AP gear (which some of my characters have because I have a ton of extra materials and not much else to use them on). Would be nice if they worked on any gear regardless of being crafted or the freebies from Prof.Pho.
They may not have been a threat, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people hate those thorns, myself included. They're annoying, especially with how they only take damage from certain attacks based on their color, and just waste time.
It wasn't that complicated - gray ones were vulnerable to commands and actives, red ones weak to special actives. However I admit that phase did tend to take a while. In a way, though, it was a harmless preparation for some of what could happen while fighting Rosso later.
I said they were annoying, not that they were complicated. I fully understand how they work, but that doesn't mean they don't frustrate me, especially when I get nothing but red thorns and no white ones when I have no MP to use Specials! Even when that doesn't happen, just the fact that I can't just hit them with whatever the heck I want annoys me.
Solace's Fortress has a near identical mechanic, and it's a little annoying there as well, but unlike the thorns, those sheaths aren't outright required to clear the dungeon, and even when I can't skip the sheaths in the final non-boss sub-stage, it's still just four sheaths that can be dealt with at least somewhat quickly, unlike the tons of thorns that needed to be destroyed in Rosso Raid just to get to the next phase and waste so much of your time. Though it is a huge pain in the rear when Solace summons those sheaths in his boss fight, especially since I can never seem to prevent him from grabbing all the sheaths he needs for his attack.

Huh, wasn't expecting that. This is for both the Flames of Judgement and Vestige of Soul.
that is a heck of lot more than what i was expecting. +9 requiem at full stages does not outmatch +10 judgement (iirc), but we'll see how well it can do in solo with... those buffs.
but i'll still be waiting for lesson 6 with that +10 because ain't any way that's happening on my own enough times with this newfangled jank enhancement.
if that +10 does happen though, and if the solo raids experience isn't butts, then i think maybe, maybe, i might be able to stand restaging some weps. not having to deal with raid regulars would be so very much an improvement.

seems to be no changes to giant bosses though, unlike what that preview text pic said, but maybe later i guess.
varni raid is now only 8 rooms overall
and that's still 2 more rooms than what prune raid has. won't be too sad the awakening wasters (before the eye part and the hives part) were clipped off though.

oh. huh. ok. sounds like what the sinister intent a-holes and tabuu-void have going on, but now for us.
ariel [any armor] is almost absolutely worthless to me. i doubt any single character slot will ever have enough sage stones to make char-slot-specific armor worthwhile. even with them letting us recollect the sage rocks.

but i am so glad i didn't already open those VoS boxes for anyone that hasn't opened them yet. the crystals would be great anyways, since "wep farming to break them for the rocks" seems like it's still going to be the fastest way to get the raid accessories.
