Hello. This is the Elsword director, Lee Dong-shin.
There has been a lot of complaints about the revision patch for latest Mod (E) skills due to being delayed by a week.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience that occurred because we were forced to postpone it due to our internal work schedule and testing process.
A lot of this feedback was about fairness in revision patches and the lack of preparations for the upcoming raid update.
We were unable to review your opinions in advance internally, and we are sorry for not bringing the patch closer to the schedule.
Taking into account the opinions of players, we have discussed and set a new date for the revision patch - January 31st (during maintenance).
Please note that the Reorder Shop and Ice Burner will last until this date.
We mean to apologize to our adventurers for not informing them in advance of the changes made to [Mod] Aceldama: Gehenna skill of Fatal Phantom.
It was modified because we did not account for general dungeons when designing this skill.
Due to this, an urgent patch was applied to reduce this skill's game-breaking impact on dungeon play.
Additionally, players have constantly insisted on carrying out a Balance Patch before the raid update.
We fully agree with the opinion that balance must be prioritized now, especially in terms of party synergy (buffs, debuffs).
As previously announced, it's difficult to release a full Balance Patch right now, but we will make some changes on February 27th.
Apologies for not being able to bring the schedule forward.
Early Balance Patch notice
We are currently reviewing overall raid play data. The focus will be on characters that are capable of clearing content but are underutilized in party setups for repeated title farming. Adjustments will aim to improve synergy and balance for such characters.
Representative characters planned for adjustments are Dius Aer (in the support position) and Richter/Gembliss (in the DPS position). These characters show the lowest play rates among their respective job lines and exhibit the poorest raid clear records, based on various balance-related data.
These adjustments will increase their party buff/debuff numbers, aiming to improve their usability in parties. We will make sure that these characters will be valued sufficiently based on their current offensive capabilities.
Following the synergy balance patch, on March 27th (Thursday), we plan to conduct another balance patch targeting character structures and skill damage adjustments, based on current and new raid play data, as well as adventurer feedback. The March patch will also focus on elevating characters to higher standards of performance.
Tl;dr
Mod (E) last batch revision patch is rescheduled (it will happen on January 31st).
[Mod] Aceldama: Gehenna performance was game-breaking, KoG applied a hotfix that decreased its performance significantly, and the KR Chung whales went ham.
They're terribly sorry for not being transparent and apologize at least 6 times across the entire notice. (Some parts were skipped, it actually gets annoying.)
An early Balance Patch is planned on February 27th, focusing on party synergy (buffs/debuffs) of some characters that are underutilized.
They are using title farming data as benchmark of who to improve in this patch.
They will make sure that Dius Aer, Richter and Gembliss become valuable characters in party play.
Another Balance Patch will happen on March 27th. It will elevate characters to higher standards of performance to prepare the players for new raids.

the most annoying pests are those who get bothered by apologies, even when they get excessive. but coming from this company, even with their leash in nexon's grip, it does ring kind of hollow.
that said, i get GB being kind of hard to maintain as a dps, but how are people screwing up utilizing RI's and DA's kits?
I think being bothered by excessive apologies is completely understandable if the company just returns to ignoring player feedback after a few weeks. They just mean nothing, and it's been like this for years.
Being annoyed by excessive apologies is actually very understandable, regardless of if they're genuine or not. Imo, it often times comes across as "we want to look apologetic to earn people's forgiveness even if we don't deserve it" regardless of the actual intent.
Seems you haven't played RI in serp raid. Heck you don't even need to play him, go search up how he's doing in serp raid on youtube. His damage is non-existent (no exaggeration) due to how the raid's hitbox and mechanics were designed. And for DA, the only reason to take him is for extra speed but these days it's not really needed and DA has barely any damage buffs and not even cda to back it up.
DA's kit is really poor when compared to most supports:
- Only support that cannot shred enemy defense
- Shortest freeze duration (4s), although that doesn't matter in serpentium
- Lowest Damage Reduction among the healers (15%), compared to the average 25~35%
If you wanted the action speed, BL already does the job, while also being better at every other thing.
DA's heal is good, however his only niche is Special Resources consumption reduction, but at that point you might just wanna take a healer that can shred and/or provide CDa, it will be better.
Being honest, I think that the healers are not balanced at all, there's not really a reason why you'd choose anything that is not AV, Dem, BL or RaS, the other healers are just worse versions of one of those, but at least Nyx, OM and SU aren't garbage like DA

Ritsu doesn't work for KoG, he just translates what's posted on the KR site, and I doubt KoG would make that public anyway.

"lowest play rates among their respective job" Code Ultimate just say hi dawg... Even some loyal players that play Ultimate back then, now changed it to Sariel/Antithese
I'm one of those, i gave up on CU a few months ago after playing her for around 8 years. Playing CU in current meta is just painful her cleaning is just okay, her bossing is not bad but not amazing either. She's just a mediocre class in every aspect of pve when compared to CA and CS. Why would you play a class that underperforms with the same gear when compared to her "newer" sisters. Also, i was expecting more support capabilities for CE with the new mods, but nope.... Just go and do damage now like every other class....
I already saw some excuse or apology coming again. On the other hand, it is not a surprise to me that to modify a skill they only base it on a raid and not on "general dungeon/field/pvp/mid boss." But it's not something I can blame them for, because it's what the player base demands the most. The only thing that really bothers me is that many skill mods are really incredible, but they already started to nerf them... I mean, you're supposed to kill the mobs, right? Why do you reduce the damage to the skill? If the problem is PVP, then why do you also affect PVE?
I wish KoG would start seperating PvP and PvE balances on a regular basis and not just nerf / buff one side as well because the other was changed. But they probably think it's too much work or smth (aka they have no clue about pvp)
RT still really good on 20-4, bases on some kr streamers, but his dmg desaper on 20-5, due some hitbox problems on Gott Waffe, idk what they will do to solve his problem, but the new skill didnt solve, and buff it will not help. He is also not good for farming. I Hope they made really good changes.

Maybe Richter and Gembliss have the lowest playrates because you gave them awful new mods..
Richter is the absolute worst class for serpentium raids. They'r using raid datas (mentioned x times). In the actual state is Bigott the class to go if you want to be DPS & a raid member. That has nothing to do with mod skills... Imagine. They'r collecting stuff always over weeks/months.
Nah, like cmon DA is under utilised? There are no OM's anywhere and somehow DA is under utilised while having probably 2x or 3x as much players as OM. This is kinda crazy ngl
