10/24 Patch Notes - Challenge Mode Changes

Developer Notes
Challenge Mode will be revamped. Buff effects will now be given to the entire striker party consisting of 8 people rather than the current party.
As all members will now be able to receive buffs, the entry Combat Power has been changed to reflect that.
Boss health will be increased only in dungeons played by up to 8 people.
An exchange has been added so that you can obtain Challenge Mode Force Skills from weekly mats.
The number of marks required to acquire them has also been reduced.
We hope that the revamp will encourage people to play Challenge Mode and to obtain the Force Skills.
Raid Challenge Mode Changes
Buff effects will be applied to the entire striker party. (Skills that apply buffs based on selection, ex. Trolley Dilemma, Golden Vow and Brave Cover will remain unchanged.)
The entry Combat Power for Varnimyr and Berthe Challenge Mode is increased to 8M.
Boss monster HP increased in dungeons where up to 8 people can enter.
Added exchanges for Dark Fire Aura / Annihilating Soul Aura (weekly clear material).
For both raids, 240 items are required to obtain any of the Forces.
Existing Force exchanges for Dark Flame Mark / Annihilating Soul Mark, every exchange is reduced from 6,000 to 4,000.
Some patterns of The Annihilator will be improved.
Base groggy time increased.
The boss will no longer be affected by immobilizing skills during groggy.
Groggy duration increases based on the current amount of clones awaiting revival.
During groggy, the HP bar will no longer be blocked for his final ultimate move.
Serpentium Raid Revision Patch
When connecting the charging rod of Serpentium Tower Phase 1~4, the damage increase buff value increases.
The time between modulation and explosion in the continuous conducting pattern of the final tempo in Orchestra Hall Phase 4 is increased.
In the continuous conducting pattern of the final tempo in Orchestra Hall Phase 4, the modulation and modulation target effects will no longer be affected by the effect transparency option or the skill effect options of other characters.

KR only event where you can obtain an 'ElStar 2 Commemoration Cube' twice during the event duration for signing up for their SMS newsletter.
Up to February 27, 2025, a special event dungeon related to ElStar 2 is available. Free entry once a day. Can exchange for ElStar 2 Skill Cut-Ins and Avatars. There is a special camp area related to the event that gives Idol's Smile after 3 minutes of staying there: Boss Damage +2%, Boss Damage Reduction +2%, Adaptation +2% (Dungeon)
Free music tickets for the El House for playing the event dungeon and cumulative login.
Another KR only event, an art contest for ElStar 2.

Shared - Demonic Banquet hair changed to be dyeable.
Knight Emperor - fixed Force Crimson Bloom Does Not Rot applying [Mod] Sonic Blade stun effect when active. Fixed not applying PvP multipliers to reflected damage from the Counter Attack skill.
Immortal - Fixed not applying PvP multipliers to reflected damage from the Compact Counter skill.
Bloody Queen - fixed Awakened Will: Crimson Avenger HP recovery effect when hitting with Command/Active Skills not working properly when stacked.
Nyx Pieta - fixed Moon's Origin HP recovery effect when hitting with Command/Active Skills ignoring the max stack limit.
Mischief - when using Lucky Chance, [Mod] Lucky Chance, fixed an issue where it would still hit even though the skill effect was already gone.
Dungeon
In Orchestra Hall - Phase 1, the issue where the character would die during the note check in certain situations, even when positioned correctly on the note, has been fixed.
In Orchestra Hall - Phase 2, the issue where a certain pattern would not be executed when left alone has been fixed.
In Nightmare’s Nest - Phase 2, the issue where the Venomous Fog of Abyss debuff would be applied after getting up from a knockdown in a specific location has been fixed.
In Secret Dungeon - Reclaim the Supply Train boss stage, the issue where the blackout debuff would be applied even when smoke effects hit the character's summons has been fixed.
The issue in some dungeons where monsters repeatedly attempted to move below the map to unreachable areas has been fixed.
Misc.
The issue where the result screen UI would disappear in certain situations after clearing a dungeon has been fixed.
The issue where the progress percentage was not displayed in the party info window after adding a party member has been fixed.
The issue where the sound of fireworks would play even with the 3D sound option turned off when using the City View Theme Park guild base skin has been fixed.
It has been improved so that the Prof. Pho icon at the top will not disappear when completing the first growth guide before reaching level 99.
The issue where entry to the 8-player raid dungeon was possible without meeting the Combat Power requirements in certain situations has been fixed.

the new ~18-minute video looks like it hasn't been thumbs down-bombed (yet, as of NA thursday morning) but i don't know what that really bodes for its content.
I wonder when KoG gonna add feature to turn off "Damage Number" or at least make it transparent. I hate watching red damage from critical in boss body or entire screen. Been years waiting still no news.

News about the Winter Update will be out on November 28th according to KoG.
With the upcoming "El Star" event, I'm pretty sure the changes from now on will be cash events and for a long period like the first time they brought "El Star" to Elsword. From there we go again with the QOL changes where most of the "future improvements" are more raids and lowering the CP requirement.
Still no improvement to help normal players break the 1.2 / 1.5m CP barrier
Was hoping we'd hear something about a new male character or class change. Ngl with 4th paths, Laby, and Noah (not lithia cuz she's honestly not even that broken. She feels like an older character). I kind of want something new.
Especially for Luciel cuz if you're not playing DeM, you just feel old.
I don't think they quite get what "making things actually easier" means. Maybe they understand it as much as "balancing the classes carefully". Or maybe even they have the meanings and functions of the two switched around, based on the changes made thus far.
I just don't get why they increased the CP requirement.
as far as they're concerned balance means, "make a resource easier to gather but make getting to that gathering method even more of a pain in the rectum."
you see because it balances their bank accounts to a higher number and that's where their effort goes
encourage people to play Challenge Mode
there are better things one can do with their time even in game maybe with how that has been handled.
