03/14 Patch Notes - Revision Balance Patch, Secret Dungeon Adjustments

Developer Notes

Through the maintenance, Secret Dungeon ED acquisition and patterns will be adjusted along with the revision balance patch.

Firstly, the ED reward announced through the 02/15 patch notes will take effect today.
We will continue adjusting the value as necessary to provide a stable gaming environment.

Also, based on the opinions provided by adventurers, we made changes to patterns that caused excessive fatigue.

The revision balance patch is based on the current play data.
Changes to character skills are implemented to complement the previous balance patches and the awakening system improvement.
We put emphasis on skills that caused inconveniences after the patch.

The characters subject to the next balance patch on Thursday, April 25 are Eve, Rose, Laby and Noah.

Secret Dungeon Adjustments

As announced on 02/15, the following changes will be applied to ED rewards:

- The miniboss appearance time is reduced. - A skip function for the boss ending cutscene is added.

Grand Cavern: The Source of Demonic Energy

- The number of monsters summoned in the 2nd summoning section of stage 1 is reduced. - Mutated Demon Form invincibility removed when a pattern triggers at a certain HP threshold.

Deep-Sea Passage: Emergency Crisis

- Big Turtle's attack changed to push the character instead of launching them. - The boss will prioritize performing the ultimate attack pattern.

Event Information Text Improvement

After the maintenance, event information provided at the bottom of event UIs will be removed.
Instead, a new button will be added where you can check how the event progresses and its precautions.

Revision Balance Patch

As announced earlier, a revision balance patch will be carried out today.

WARNING! Since this balance patch will be included along with the one prior on servers besides KR, they were merged into one patch.
To see the newest content, you can use Ctrl+F to navigate through the patch notes and check for "revision" for each character affected.
The revision patch changes will be displayed under a special header box.

Prof. Pho Attendance Check

  • [Event Details] You can obtain various rewards by logging in and staying online for at least 20 min. each day. Items like 1 [Luriel] Bangle Glasses or Amethyst / Tenebrous Aura selection cubes can be redeemed.

Fixes / Improvements

Character

  1. Daybreaker - an issue where the Magical Brand debuff mark did not disappear when debuffs were removed is fixed.

  2. Doom Bringer - fixed an issue where skills that cannot be used in the air could be immediately linked to when using Supersonic in the air.

  3. Mad Paradox:

    • [Unmod/Mod] The phrase 'Cannot hit invincible targets' is removed from Mind Break due to prior updates.

    • Fixed an issue where skills that cannot be used in the air could be immediately linked to when using [Mod] Moonlight Breaker in the air.

Dungeon

  1. A.M.P.S Type Big Turtle that appears in Rigomor dungeons will push the character with its attack instead of launching them.

  2. [General/Story] Phase 2 Birth of Origin ultimate pattern - fixed linking 2 crystals to the same person sometimes.

  3. Challenge Mode - an issue where resurrection prohibition debuffs were not being removed for non-hosts at the end of Berserk Berthe prohibition has been re-fixed.

Other

  1. An issue where the Super Armor red border was not visible when graphic settings were set to 'low' is fixed.

  2. When socketing a Magic Stone while all sockets are locked except one, fixed an issue where a pop-up saying "insufficient quantity" appears.

  3. When entering a dungeon or field with a bond skill equipped, then changing it to another skill, fixed an issue that made the cooldown remain even when leaving the dungeon or field.

i'm... not a fan of at least one Anemos change.

seems like it would be a great time to introduce mod b skills. a lot of animations and attack patterns would be really missed and would be good cash bait, c'mon devs.

There will be no Mod (B) skills, "A" stands for "alternate", it's not a numbering system.

If they ever made other versions of Mod Skills, maybe they can use a word with a similar meaning? Like "change", "different", etc.

or go with how pokemon did it reversion /B (beta) as in the very unrefined powerful but dangerous version of the skill

I don't think they'd do that. With "A" meaning "alternate", I doubt they'd use a Greek letter for "B" or any other letter.

Tbh, I feel these nerfs are more about making the dungeons less annoying to run. I'm personally happy that they made these changes. Especially Wally's Lab, having to deal with that shield when you have no allies of the opposite damage type can be a real pain if you're not OP.

i like them, but i kinda wish these changes were made long ago before they became post-varni cp locked. i think a lot of players could stand/would have been willing to be playing these places more even with raised damage and defense is this was done then.

ah, but it looks like Joaquin and Rage Trock were left unchanged tho.

I agree that it would have been nice if these changes came sooner, but I think the main reason SDs weren't being run back then was lacking rewards. As soon as they were no longer required for Transcendence, the queues for them practically died.

Hallucination and Rage are fine in my opinion. Yeah, Joaquin's shield is a little annoying, but he doesn't attack you while it's up and you can attack him to charge up your MP in the meantime. As for Rage, the Shadows he summons drop some really useful items.
